Memory kit compatibility

I have a Gigabyte X79 UP4 and two kits of Corsair Vengeance 2x4gb ram. Is it ok to run both of the kits in quad channel even though the two kits have not been validated with each other?

Yes. Only difference between these and quad memory kit is, that quad memory kit is tested to work, so there are 0% chance it will not work.

 

But to run 2 dual memmory kits is ok.

Thanks for the reply. If I have issues particularly with overclocking I will probably have to get a quad channel kit.
