Before I upgraded to Win11 Pro, Windows 10 was working flawlessly. After doing to upgrade and updating everything from bios to drivers, the only issue I have is if I leave my pc idle for a long period and go to move the mouse to bring it out of idle my monitor stays black like no signal. I didn't have this issue with Windows 10, just move the mouse and the monitor comes to life. I cannot find anything for this issue. Microsoft community support person suggest that I turn off screen saver and shorten the time the monitor turns off. Doesn't make much sense to me to do that since I had no issues like this under Win10. Anyone got suggestions? Should I buy a new copy of Windows 11?

A fresh install could potentially help, but there is no need to buy a new copy for that. You already have a license associated with your hardware. You can just download the Windows 11 Media Creation Tool from Microsoft, create a USB stick and install a fresh copy.

If you decide to do a fresh install, be sure to backup all files you want to keep beforehand.

Start a command prompt as an administrator and run "powercfg -h off" in it. Retest.

Does everything else turn on and blink? Is it only the mouse, or the keyboard too?

Update: Further trouble shooting after weeks of figuring this out, like uninstalling Radeon software to re-installing. Still didn't fix the issue. I resolved this by simply using the AMD Uninstall Tool, then re-installing the Radeon software. Problem solved. Thank You for any advice what was given on this thread.

Yet another update: The same issue has occurred again. I found a post that someone else was having this issue as well. Turns out that the Microsoft Game Input keeps updating and re-configuring causing a crash. I just uninstalled it to see if that will fix the issue.

Ya but the question then is why does it cause issues to begin with, not saying win11 is flawless, far from it, but I haven't had issues with that program and apparently windows needs it, unless you only use kbm maybe?

Imo you shouldn't have done an upgrade, fresh install is recommended when transitioning to a new OS... and technically that's what win11 is.
