Congratulations!  Building your own sounds like it was at least fun and satisfactory for you!

So as above, you can set PBO to Motherboard limits at +200.   Then go into Curve Optimizer and set all core -30 and see how she runs.  May have to dial back to -25 or -20.

A good start...

Okay awesome! I'll take a look at the video and thanks for giving a hint on what numbers i should be starting/looking for at the beginning. Definitely saw in Bios alot of settings to change numbers but was too scared to go and change something i shouldn't be doing

I've always bought prebuilt but last week i built my first PC (yay!)

I'm running a Ryzen 5 9600X with 2x16 DDR5-6000, Rtx 3070 8gb and a MSI Pro X870-P.

I enabled Expo1 so my Ram runs at 6000mhz. I already optimized my GPU with Nvidia software. But now comes to my CPU.

I have never tweaked or changed settings for any CPU i had.

I'm wondering what should i do to both optimize and use at its best capacity for Gaming purposes? I saw on AMD website two software. Ryzen Master and AMD software Adrenalin edition.

Well.  The easiest way to get some extra oomph is to enable PBO ( Precision Boost Overdrive ) and maybe do a little undervolting with the CO ( Curve Optimizer ).

You can also overclock the CPU by manually increasing the core clock.

All of this should be done in the BIOS and not through software like Ryzen Master.

Okay I'll take a look tonight, great to know that the software are not necessarily the best to use

Also, since the 9600X has an iGPU... turn that off in BIOS>  It's usually referred to as PCIe enabled, Onboard VGA, or something depending on mobo.

You'll free up some Hardware Reserved RAM from it.

This should work for your MSI board...or at least guide you where to find it.

Get chipset drivers if you haven't already.

And for Ryzen the most basic and quite easy tweak is enabling PBO. Then for more potential unlock Curve Optimizer to undervolt a bit.

Feel free: To ask any question, no matter what question it is, I will try to answer. I know a lot about PCs but not everything.

current PC:

Ryzen 5 5600 |16GB DDR4 3200Mhz | B450 | GTX 1080 ti [further details on my profile]

PC configs I used before:

  1. Pentium G4500 | 4GB/8GB DDR4 2133Mhz | H110 | GTX 1050
  2. Ryzen 3 1200 3,5Ghz / OC:4Ghz | 8GB DDR4 2133Mhz / 16GB 3200Mhz | B450 | GTX 1050

What's wrong with using ryzen master?
