I'm out of the game. Like, very out of the game. I'm about to transplant my RX 6700-powered system into a thin case, and need a thin GPU to go along with it. I have an RTX A1000 (Ampere, I think?) 6GB in a system right now, but I don't really want to move it out of there. It looks like the RTX 5060 is the best option out there right now unless you venture off into the realm of $500+ workstation-class GPUs. Is there a better buy out there at the moment? I think the upper limit of games I'm playing would be along the lines of Tainted Grail and Palworld, so I don't need to come up with some crazy exotic solution. I just figure that if I have to replace the GPU, I might as well upgrade it while I'm at it.

I enjoy buying junk and sinking more money than it's worth into it to make it less junk.

In terms of raw performance while being low profile, I don't think you can beat the RTX 5060 for consumer cards.

I saw a rumor months ago about an RTX 5060 Ti low profile card, but it doesn't seem to have ever materialized. Unless that suddenly appears, I think the 5060 is as good as it gets.

Outside of the drop in VRAM, the card is actually faster than the RX 6700. It performs similar to the RTX 3070. So it's even a bit of an upgrade for you. And at $330 for the low profile version, it's pricy, but not outrageous.
