Confusing upload speed issue

On every device except my PC, Upload speeds range from 7-15 MBPS But on the pc via both ethernet and WIFI upload speeds are an unusable 250kbps or lower. And nothing I've tried has fixed my issue.
Anyone know what might cause that?

If you're getting this on basically every device, that would tend to imply that it's an issue with either the router or modem. I had a similar issue with my modem - not quite as bad, but it could only consistently get 6 Mbps up when my plan should have given me 100Mbps up. It could be that your modem isn't playing nice with your ISP.

 

Do you have your own modem? Or is this provided by your ISP?

well every device is getting usable/fine speeds. only the pc is getting unusable upload both through wifi/ethernet. and its an isp provided modem

Sorry, I misunderstood the original post.

 

In that case, it's probably a problem on the PC itself. Although I don't know why it would impact both the WiFi and Ethernet equally. Ethernet and WiFi performance shouldn't both get crippled at the same time, which is why I was suspecting it was downstream.

 

Have you made sure that your network drivers are up to date for both devices? Also, have you checked to see if your motherboard's BIOS is up to date?

I have updated the MB bios and i believe the network drivers are on their most recent versions as well.  The fact that its both is also confusing to me, because if it was hardware I would've assumed the ethernet cable or port perhaps was the issue. but its wifi as well and only on this one computer.

Try a different speed test service for sanity sake. Do you have your DNS server statically assigned for your PC on both adapters? Are you running any VPN clients or bittorrent other software on the PC while doing speed tests? It seems there's something running on your PC that is hogging up upload bandwidth; that would affect wireless and ethernet adapters.

Expanding on Omon_Ra post, is it a prebuilt PC, from Dell, HP etc???  Some companies install "services" with their computer that can impact network performance.
