Faison Controller

Hi so i have a msi pcie 4.0 nvme spatium m461 and Crucial p3 plus 1tb and 2tb Samsung 990 EVO Plus, 2TB, PCIe 4.0. Can i ask which drivese that i have are Faison Controller. what m.2 has not got this i need 2tb ones does any one one know?

I am changing my main ssd just to safe. I need help in finding me a drive that does not have Faison Controller.

if your drive is affected, just uninstall the broken update and wait for MS to fix it.

 

also, from what i've gathered, the whole notion of "bricking drives" comes from people who didnt think to turn off the power supply to do a propper reset.

according to jayztwocents, uninstalling the update is not enough. There are 2 parts to it, and one part cannot be uninstalled.

 

OP, the controllers are spelled "phison' if you want to google each of your drives and try to check what is what.

The problem occurs in like most of the Ssd, and most of the popular Ssd controllers. 

Like even WD or samsung in house controllers, but also Silicon Motion, Phison, or even chinese maxio.

 

for now just pause the MS update for max time, and check if you have the problematic updates installed, if you have uninstall them. And if problem occurs, just power cycle your PC is should come back.
