Small question between gpus

When it comes to between the RTX 2080 Super and RTX A4000, which would be better?

 

I know that the A4000 is a workstation GPU and that it would do better for creative tasks while the 2080 Super is tailored for gaming (if now 3 generations old). The 2080 is a bigger GPU (EVGA Triple slot) and consumes more power (110 more watts). A4000 is a single slot but gets up to 90 degrees C and up under load because it's a single slot blower style. It also have double the amount of VRAM which does help a lot with current day games.

 

Im asking because I want to make sure my mother has the better of the two for her needs. She does do some gaming and I think the most demanding in her library is Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order. Performance is identical for both from what I can find but I would like extra input to be sure.

Yeah, I know the 2nd video is 3080, there's a 2080 Super in the chart.

The A4000 and 2080 Super should perform similarly for gaming, but the A4000 has double the VRAM, which would definitely come in handy for newer titles.

 

If your mom needs the VRAM for productivity tasks, then the A4000 again would be better.

Unless your mom is using specific programs that benefit from 16gb VRAM vs 8gb, the 2080 Super is better. The A4000 has a tiny blower, not a regular size blower like the gaming cards, so it's going to be very loud. Quadro cards aren't inherently better except for some scientific type uses where error correction is needed.

 

Or how about an RTX 5060 Ti 16gb?

Depends if you're using for gaming or work, but I would say A4000 maybe a little bit better. I had both of them in my Unreal Engine builds.
