Hi all!

Got a new PC set up, and so now I have 2 PCs doing different bits.

PLEX Current:

I5- 9500T Mini PC

16GB Ram

Sata SSD

New Spare PC New PLEX?:

I5- 8600K

32GB RAM

NVME

Case with LOADS of drives

I'm thinking about swapping my drives over. Will I run into any issues with, say, Plex? Will the PC names move with the drive?

I know the Mini PC doesn't have NVMe, so I'm thinking of cloning NVME to a cheap SATA drive to put in the Mini PC.

Reason for keeping the mini PC with my old drive is just the files I forgot to move since I did a fresh install this time round.

I guess I could just pop the SSD from the PLEX system into the 8600K and see if it all works?

Will this all work? In theory, I want minimum PLEX downtime and safe files on my old PC, but I want to swap to make the most of each system's ability. Extra CPU on the 8600K for converting files, plus the case can hold drives.

Ow okay then....
