Memory slot issue

My motherboard's second slot from the CPU isn't working/letting the PC post. Since you're supposed to do slots 2 and 4, but that's not an option what 2 slots are best to use?

Ideally, you'd then use 1 and 3 to get dual channel. Hopefully it just works. Some motherboards are fussy about the exact slots used, but some are fine with that arrangement.

If it's for dual channel, then the other pair of slots.

They usually give which pairs with which for dual channel in the motherboard manual.

Thank you! Turns out that the first 2 slots don't work. So I'm going to use 3 and 4, not ideal but it'll work!

Try the other two slots.
