Graphics card mobo compatibility

I’m building my second PC and my graphics card isn’t slotting in. I’ve made sure to check if it is over the slot and it is mostly inserted but the left side opposite to the latch is still sticking up a bit but the latch clicks it seems that it is hitting the heat spreader of the motherboard which is a gigabyte B850 gaming x wifi6E and my graphics card is a intel arc b580 titan OC edition I’ve also checked that the little taps near the DP ports are not hitting on the mobo or case I know I will probably have to get a vertical gpu cable since my case supports it but I’ve never heard of it being a problem so I was wondering if I should try something else.

 

I have a Corsair frame 4000d btw

it more than likely is inserted all the way and you're just noticing the tolerances becuase part of the edge connector is visible.

I thought so too but my bad for not mentioning it but I can’t screw it in to the case there’s about a centimeter gap between it

are you using the correct motherboard standoffs? is the cards i/o plate hitting the motherboard tray?
