Hi,
I'm planning to build a gaming PC,  but I'm not quite sure with the components.

Budget (including currency): ~2300-2600eur   (~2700-3100usd)

Country: Czech Republic 🙂

My goal is:
- used mostly for games
- shouldn't be very noisy
- I don't need any RGB stuff, those lights belong to a Christmas tree. Also, the case will sit under the table

So far, I've picked following components:
GPU:  MSI GeForce RTX 5070 Ti 16G GAMING TRIO OC
           (because the budget and the nvidia software. I'm not sure about radeon cards. read somewhere that RTX cards have better DLSS perf.)
           (BTW: I have a 4K monitor if it matters)

Motherboard: ASUS TUF GAMING B850-PLUS WIFI  (or some other in similar price range?)

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D
     or: AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D
     (read that those are the tops for gaming. between 7800 and 9800 is like... 5-8% performance difference? Does it make sense to buy the 9800 which is more expensive? does it makes sense?)

Colling: Be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 5
             (is this sufficient for both CPU variants, or should I go with the Fractal Design Lumen S36 V2 water cooler? water cooling is another PointOfFailure and they tend to be noisy. Please advise)
             + Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut  (or is there a better alternative?  I don't want to use the stock paste which comes with the coolers)

RAM: G.SKILL 32GB KIT DDR5 6000MHz CL30 Trident Z5 NEO AMD EXPO
   or:   G.SKILL 32GB KIT DDR5 6000MHz CL26 Trident Z5 Neo RGB             (is ~100usd more expensive - Depends on budget)
    (I will turn the RGB off 🙂 )

Storage:
     system:
Samsung 990 EVO Plus 1TB
    data:       Samsung 990 EVO Plus 2TB

PSU:  Be quiet! PURE POWER 13 M 1000W   (not quite sure with this)

Case: Fractal Design Torrent Black Solid  (I'm very sure with this - I love the design!)

What do you think?
Would you change anything to save some money on some components or upgrade some of them?

many thanks

Where are you purchasing your components from? The reason I ask is because I don't see that psu showing up on PC Partpicker. You want to use a single 2TB SSD with that board because if you use two M.2 SSD's with the B850 chipset your gpu will run at x8 instead of x16 due to lack of PCIe lanes. Low profile RAM so that the heatsinks don't interfere with a dual tower cpu cooler and add a 120mm exhaust fan to the back of that case.

Welcome to the forums!
I'd say the 7800x3d is probably a better buy given you're gaming at 4k
The Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE is much cheaper and cools CPUs just as well, though the Noctua NHD15 is the king for noise normalized thermals, though it is a bit spendy. I personally run purely Noctua fans for my big rigs.
No need to buy thermal paste as any cooler should come with it, and many come with enough for two applications. That being said, can't hurt to keep some spare on hand. Don't spend too much though, even this cheap stuff which has dozens of applications in the tube is as good as the the expensive stuff

Sure, the list is good. Makes me a little sad going with air cooling for this build 😞

id go 7800x3D. It’s not really worth it much to go for 9800x3D when 4K gaming because 4K is all on that 5070 🙂

MY PC: RTX 4070 / Ryzen 9 3900x / Thermalright Frozen Notte 360mm AIO / Hyte Y60 Snow White / 3TB \ 128GB RAM DDR4 3200mhz / Asus Prime X570 Pro / Corsair HX1000

Thanks you guys for the thoughts.
I forgot to mention an addition fan in the back of the case. this is a MUST of course 🙂

@why_me:
The PSU is from Czech Alza 🙂
https://www.alza.cz/be-quiet-pure-power-13-m-1000w-d12999718.htm  (4200czk / 200usd)

Also... why the G.Skill memory with 6000MHz CL30? isn't 6000MHz CL26 faster?
I see 1 advantage thought: the Flare X5 is lower on profile, and therefore if I use a big CPU fan, I will have no problem to fit them there.

Now what about the Motherboard? I tried to look for the MB schema, but couldn't find it. I thought, that having 2 separate M.2's will be faster.
So you say:
1.) go with
ASUS TUF GAMING B850-PLUS WIFI  board and use a single M.2 which I Partition it in 2 pieces
or:
2.) buy a better board ie. MSI MAG X870 TOMAHAWK WIFI  or
GIGABYTE X870 EAGLE WIFI7 (or GAMING - can't find whats the difference) where I can use more M.2 slots without performance drop?

@OddOod:
I don't see Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE in alza shop, but the Noctua NHD15 seems to be an also very good choise. I will probably go for that!

@Juloz:
Why should be air cooling a less good choice? As I wrote... water cooling is a bit noisy, and as I will have the PC under the table with no Glass Case, I don't care how it looks inside the case.

Anyway, you all agreed, that Ryzen 7 7800x3D is here a better choise (was also my favorite from the beginning)
