Is it really? Could you recommend some better parts for it? I'm still not sure if it's a good parts list for the price range, like should I wait until the next generation of CPUs, etc

The 9700X is a good all around cpu. I can't think of anything to change.

That is a very solid build. Only thing I would consider changing is the amount of storage space. 2TB isn't much these days.

Really? I thought it was enough, most my games don't take up that much storage, my biggest game is about 50 GBS, and also I'm pretty sure the mobo I've chosen has only 1 nvme slot. I've just gotten loads of hdds though but none of them would fit in the case. Also I've looked and the 4tb nvmes are way out of my price range

I forget that not everyone is a digital hoarder. I have 88 games installed just through Steam, lol. Not to mention 6+ TB of movies, music and TV shows.

Ohhh, I see lol, 6tbs of just videos is just insane, why, just why do you need that, I've also decided too that my case I've got is too small, so I've updated it, if I sell the case for the same amount I get it for then I can save 550 nzd! and that's with a really nice looking x870 aorus motherboard compared with the stinky itx b850I 🤮

I just never delete anything. I despise almost all country music and yet I have around 3Gb of country MP3s because my wife likes country and why not digitize her stuff too. Also I loath stacks of dvds and blu rays in my living room (takes up space I could use to display my Lego) so everything gets ripped to digital and the physical media gets hidden away in the corner of a closet. I know, I know...streaming. Yes, I have about 8 streaming services but you never know when something is going to get removed from them. I have 21 TB of storage across 2 NVME drives, 2 SSDs and a 12 TB HDD (that is the media storage). All that and I still have a media server system that runs a plex server for everyone else in the house. It has a direct copy of everything on my system. Is it all excessive...yes. Does it bring me joy, also yes.

Edit to add, most of the TV show stuff I have isn't easily streamable. Old 80s shows and the like.

Most people will form a NAS/Plex machine for that much digital media though, I can't imagine saving that much just "to have" on my personal machine.

And yeah, 88 games installed is not the norm, we just redownload if we want to play something older.

But I do agree that more than 2TB is good if you have the extra budget.  I am constantly fighting the 3TB capacity I have and probably going to add a 4TB SATA SSD.  I have filled all 3 of my M.2 slots with 1TB drives.   The 3rd M.2 slot causes my last PCIe slot to disable, so I can't use an adapter.  Though if I remove that drive, put it ON the adapter... if I get a multiple M.2 adapter...

Something for the OP to think about as well when looking at motherboards and storage.  You'll almost always want more in the future.
