9700x for $200

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: gaming and 3D modeling/rendering in a sff case (fractal terra)

 

1. is there a better recommendation within the am5 socket?

 

2. coming from a 7600x how much do yall think I would need to resell the 7600x for to make it worth the upgrade?

 

3. for my use case is it worth it?

 

 

4. as a side note, im strongly considering swapping my 9070 xt (powercolor reaper) for a 5070 ti (zotac solid sff oc) because the 3D modeling is extremely important to me and the price difference is less than 100.

A 9700X for $200 is a steal. Not sure why you purchased an AMD card if you do 3D modeling. That's Nvidia territory.

I was indoctrinated by my linux family members who only play games on their machines but im definitely going to get the 5070ti, right now Im deciding between the asus prime and the zotac solid sff.

 

to use the asus I have to change my cooler from nh-l12sx77 to the nh-l12s or find a a better cooler that can make up the roughly 7mm clearance difference so im torn cuz honestly the price difference is worth getting asus in my opinion (20$) but if cost aside im not sure the asus is worth the downgrade of cpu cooler.

Just go with the Zotac.
