I have a r5 7600x, and msi b650m gaming motherboard, and 32gb ram. I was ready to build today but was stopped by doubt about ram compatibility.
The website and product listing both say it supports 7000 cpus. One reviewer on the website disagrees.

I have the box in front of me, and it says “requires 9000 series CPUs” (or 13th gen or newer intel)

Clearly this is conflicting information so please help (I’m stressed)

It should be fine.

Common build advice:

1) Buy the cheapest (well reviewed) motherboard that has the features you need. Paying more typically only gets you features you won’t use. 2) only get as much RAM as you need, getting more won’t (typically) make your PC faster. 3) While I recommend getting an NVMe drive, you don’t need to splurge for an expensive drive with DRam cache, DRamless drives are fine for gamers. 4) paying for looks is fine, just don’t break the bank. 5) Tower coolers are usually good enough, unless you go top tier Intel or plan on OCing. 6) OCing is a dead meme, you probably shouldn’t bother. 7) "Bottlenecks" rarely matter and "Future-proofing" is a myth. 8) AIOs don't noticeably improve performance past 240mm and don't improve at all past 360mm. 9) RTFM.

It will work with your Ryzen 7600x.

Give it a try, nothing bad is going to happen if it doesnt work.

I don’t get how a big company can label products so confusingly. Like it’s right there on the front of the packaging.

I don’t really have much experience with returns but I’m guessing that opening the packaging impacts my rights, if it’s not faulty just incompatible.

Ryzen 9000 is AM5, same as Ryzen 7000.
Basically the same CPU with the same motherboard socket.

Give it a try, the chance of it working is incredibly high.

Dont stress about it.

The 9000 series has the same memory controller as the 7000 series, from what I know. So it can't NOT work for the 7000 series.

This is the first RAM I have ever seen like this.

But I'd use it all day, it will work.  Cuz it almost literally cannot not.

Only reason I know of it won't work on a Ryzen 7000 system is the BIOS is too old. These sticks are known for having memory ICs that require some special training procedures in order to work correctly, and most AM5 boards didn't get those updates until rather late in the Ryzen 7000 lifespan. If you do a BIOS update there's no reason I'd see they wouldn't work.

Only reason I'd consider returning them is because these kits aren't known to be very cost effective when compared to other kits on the market, so you might be willing to save $5-10 while getting a faster kit. Whether that's actually worth the time and energy to bother with is a different story. As for your right to return, a lot of places will accept open box items no problem, especially if you say it didn't work. Pretty sure the UK has some of the better consumer protections for that as well, but don't quote me on that. Read up on wherever you bought it from to see what the return policy is if you're curious.
