Fractal Scape Headset

I just heard about the Fractal Scape headset and it has me pretty excited for a change in gaming headset's.  Most of the time I find it tough to recommend gaming headset's because they're all about everything other than sound quality, with heavy coloration or on the other end completely bland.  I've only owned ~4 headset's so it's a rather anecdotal take on my side, but have enough experience to be capable of respecting others opinions which agree; typical gaming headsets are great for gaming and garbage for everything else.

 

The Sennheiser PC8x, Audeze Maxwell and HyperX Cloud? are the only one's I know of that are pretty good.  I feel that this is the direction the industry needs to go, towards a sound quality focus because for wireless the only real option is the Maxwell which is rather pricey.  The Scape is still expensive but far more attainable.

 

I wanted to see if anyone has any thoughts or experience with this headset.

Is wireless absolutely necessary? The top options in the game are the aforementioned Audeze Maxwell and the Arctis Nova Pro Wireless. These may be up there based on skimming a few reviews from outlets and individuals.

I know when i'm interested in purchasing a new piece of technology, I will consume the entire Internets worth of written and video media on it. And that includes from normal people, not just professional outlets.
