Hi everyone,

I tried to assemble my new PC:

- Intel Core Ultra 7 265K
- MSI Z890 Gaming Plus WiFi
- MSI MAG A750GL II 750W 80 Plus Gold PCIe5.1

- PATRIOT Viper Venom 32GB (2x16GB) 6000MHz

But it does not POST. When I turn it on, the fans start spinning, the EZ debug CPU red LED (CPU) lights on for a second, and then the yellow LED (DDR) lights on for 5-15 seconds, the PC stays on for around 20 seconds are restarts (and repeats everything again). Noting appears on the screen (neither iGPU nor when I add B580 GPU), the keyboard and mouse do not light up

I tried:
- reseating RAM
- using only one stick (both)
- using different slot
- checking all the cables
- reseating the CPU
- updating the BIOS
- resetting the CMOS

I know the problem is with RAM (the yellow LED) but I tried both stick so either I'm doing something wrong or this is a problem with CPU or motherboard (I don't know how to narrow it down without having spare parts to test it).

What else can I do?
Thanks for help

1. can you reach the bios?

2. if you can reach the bios, did you overclock your ram or applied some XMP or similiar?

3. if you can access the bios: did you check if the ram is fully compatible with the board?

4. is your CPU tightened enough and correctly?

i would check if the ram is fully compatible with your motherboard:

copy the exact ram SKU and search it in the page where is listed the ram compatibility for your motherboard. i had instabilities for RAM incompatibility (on AMD in my case but it's worth a check). you should check on the manufacturer ram compatibility list and look for the RAM you like the most, order them on amazon and test the new ones so you can be sure it's a RAM issue.

this is the link to the RAM compatibility list, check if the mobo is correct:

How long do you let it do this?  You may be memory training, which can take a good while, minutes even.

Memory training happens prior to the motherboard empowering keyboard and mouse, etc.  So that checks.

Turn it on, leave it running for 5-10 minutes.  What happens?

Because nothing you list is incompatible in any way shape or form.  QVL is a test list only, they can't get to them all.  But all RAM is made basically the same, so it should work.  I mean, it's just 6000MT/s RAM, made by 1 of 3 companies.

i've had 2 out 4 ram slots not work on motherboard cause the cpu wasn't in properly i'd first try reseating your cpu first tbh and go from there then like he said above make sure those ram sticks are compatible

I can't access BIOS, I can just flush new version using USB stick and flush button BIOS (did that already)

Also tried reseating CPU again but it didn't help. Also checked for bent pins but everything seems normal.

The RAM is not on that supported list but I based on my knowledge it should still work.

I leave it running for 10-20 minutes every time but still same problem. After a few reboots it just stays on without any LED on

That's always the "gotcha" with RAM.

Sure, in theory it shoud work per the specs. You would think the MB would read the SPD values from the DIMMs and you'd be good to go. Unfortunately it's not so simple.

It's a sad state in the industry regarding DIMM compatibility. Honestly, just go with the approved list.

this is something that was correct back in DDR4, i noticed that DDR5 can cause instability (on AMD for sure i assume in intel probably too)

it's most likely that this is the issue, i've been lucky because my issue was minimal, the sub timings was 30-36-36-(somerthing else) and the ones supported was 30-40-40-(something else), my computer booted correctly and only sometimes it would have freak out completely while running and hard crash, then 1 stick out of 2 was showing "undefined 4600 MT/s" in bios, changing the ram to a supported SKU did the trick and now my PC works perfectly.

give it a try and buy on amazon the supported ram just so you can easly return them for free if it's not the issue, but almost for sure the supported SKU will fix the issue

I returned the previous RAM, it turns out it already was from the returns (now that I think about an open package should have also been a red flag). Now I'll buy some more reputable (and officially supported) RAM. I'm thinking the KINGSTON Fury Renegade 32GB (2x16) 6400MHz. Just one more question to be sure. It will still be possible to add another set of the same RAM kits to get 64GB? Because the support list shows it like that:
image.thumb.png.a924b4ddc2d08d86483e9ee4fa40f668.png

But the 4 DIMM is ticked only for 4x sticks kits
