Hi,

I've had this new issue where the PC shuts down after high-load gaming (no warning or error screen/message), its only started within the last week, BIOS and drivers are all up to date

Temps are all fine. I've opened it up and made sure there arent any loose connectors or any metal contacts. and still cant find the cause :(

(I've underclocked the GPU and CPU to check for instability but still getting shut downs)

Specs are as follows:

CPU: Ryzen 7 3700x

GPU: RX 7800 XT

MB: ROG STRIX B550-A GAMING
RAM: Corsair Vengence 16x2 3200
PSU: RM 850x Gold

Any suggestions or mythical remedies will be appreciated.

Try running the OCCT program.

I have a Corsair Vengence 650m Silver somewhere in deep storage. Would that be high enough wattage for troubleshooting?

Seems ok I suppose.

Have you tried checking RAM. By running each stick individually and seeing if either stops crashing games/PC?

Also try running your ram on its default speed and disable xmp if the problem persists

Not sure if this got overlooked or just isn't inherently a concern given the symptoms, but it might be useful to describe what temps you checked and how. Maybe something went undetected?

i was mainly looking at cpu/gpu temps, gpu didnt go above 85 during load and CPU didn't go above 89 (Ryzen Master/Adrenalin)

UPDATE: i ran it with signal RAM sticks again and the issue didn't present itself for 24hours until just now, I concluded it was actually a faulty stick but it happening again on the other threw me off

[Update] I've noticed it only affect some games such as Peak, Crime Sim ext. I've played Rainbow6 and DCS without shut down. Would it be wise to probably get a third party anti virus or reinstall windows? Im honestly at a brick wall with it 😭

is there anything in event viewer? otherwise I would reinstall windows before getting an antivirus, just make sure you back up important files
