Desperately need help

I've got a msi b550 tomahawk max wifi mobo

Ryzen 9 5900x cpu

Crucial 500gb(for os)m.2 ssd

Wd black 4tb(for bulk)m.2 ssd

MSI Gaming GeForce RTX 5060 8GB OC gpu

Corsair vengeance 32 gb 3200mhz ram

(Need to know anything else feel free to ask)

Pretty much the entire booting process I've been fighting this pc(probably bc its my first time and I didnt know fully what to expect)

My bios update was a pain to install or figure out how to install.

However I ran into a really big problem.

I was installing windows and it wanted me to install the wifi driver so I used command prompt to open explorer to allow me to access and install the amd chipset software installer and download what is supposed to be my drivers package.(i had just the wifi driver on the flash drive but it wouldn't show any files on the flash drive just folders thats why I used command prompt. But at the same time the wifi driver setup window was super confusing bc it seemed like nothing was working in it. So i just downloaded the amd chipset software installer.) It needed to restart after the install and we'll it wont fully boot up all the way after that. How do I fix this and finally get this build finished so I can begin enjoying my pc I've worked so hard to get.

Okay, so basically it sounds to me like the windows installer failed?

In that case, create a new windows installation media, and this time instead of trying to install drivers in the installation process, press shift+f10 and type "start ms-ch:localonly" to skip the wifi requirement during install.

Then sort the drivers once you’ve made it to desktop.

Common build advice:

1) Buy the cheapest (well reviewed) motherboard that has the features you need. Paying more typically only gets you features you won’t use. 2) only get as much RAM as you need, getting more won’t (typically) make your PC faster. 3) While I recommend getting an NVMe drive, you don’t need to splurge for an expensive drive with DRam cache, DRamless drives are fine for gamers. 4) paying for looks is fine, just don’t break the bank. 5) Tower coolers are usually good enough, unless you go top tier Intel or plan on OCing. 6) OCing is a dead meme, you probably shouldn’t bother. 7) "Bottlenecks" rarely matter and "Future-proofing" is a myth. 8) AIOs don't noticeably improve performance past 240mm and don't improve at all past 360mm. 9) RTFM.

Just reinstall windows. The media might be alright. But you need the correct driver for chipset, wlan etc.

Simply download the lan drivers and run. And dont use cmd for this. No need to run anything else from MSI. Only if you have trouble with audio, then use the audio driver as well:

Before installing anything else, install chipset drivers: https://www.amd.com/en/support/downloads/drivers.html/chipsets/am4/b550.html

I have not tried it with a new windows install media but I have tried to have windows retry the install but it never finishes it restarts like a boot loop. Is there a way I can remove the drivers it installed to see if it will get me to where I was before?

How do I install the drivers before windows? Or just remove the ones i installed so i can get back to where i was. I've tried having it retry installing windows but it never completes installing it, it always restarts like a boot loop.

If you have tried reinstalling windows then you have alreadly removed the drivers.

It seems like you might have a different issue.

Where is your PC getting stuck in the process?
