Budget (including currency): 700-900€

Country: Germany

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Casual gaming (LoL, AC Shadows, etc.), just workload in my freetime

Other details

Hey you all, I heard from a friend that you are very helpful!

I'd like to upgrade my existing system because there is Something wrong with my GPU. The GPU is crashing regularly.

My current build:

https://de.pcpartpicker.com/list/BW4gcx

I was thinking about upgrading my GPU and for making sure the CPU is not a bottleneck I also want to upgrade that. The motherboard will also need an upgrade I think (M4 to M5 chip)

Does it make sense to have an AMD CPU + AMD GPU?

Intel + Nvidia seems to be to expensive.

Ryzen 9 7900x/ Ryzen 7 7800X3D CPU?

Any idea for the GPU?

Do you miss any information?

Thank you for your help!

Something like this would go a long way.

It doesn't matter, just get the best value for your budget.

7900X is not a CPU you would buy for gaming, unless you're also doing productivity work which is heavily multithreaded.

The 7800X3D is a great gaming CPU, but depending on the resolution/settings you might be better off prioritising the GPU instead. The 7800X3D is most noticeable at lower resolutions, but still helps with framerate consistency at higher resolutions. The 3D cache is more or less useful, depending on the game.

New: the minimum card I'd look at is a 9060 XT 16GB or 5060 Ti 16GB. They're roughly equivalent to a 7700 XT / 6800 non-XT on the AMD side. A 4070 is faster than a 5060 Ti 16GB, but not by a big amount (~10%).

A 9070 is maybe within reach, depending on the other parts and performs similar to a 7900 XT. FSR4 in the 90x0 cards is a big upgrade on FSR3.
