Hello Everyone,
The question is simple: thermals, noise, power draw aside, and OCing to the max.

Which would be better for long-term gaming:

  • ASUS ROG Flow Z13 2025
  • Lenovo LOQ 15ARP9 7435HS 4070

It's either this or that; I have no other option, as this is a free offer from my ISP provider.

I also play games and work on the same laptop, so I want something future-proof and good for multitasking.
The Asus has a lot of cool features, it's new, light, has an NPU for AI stuff, and the IGPU has access to the RAM, so I'm not bound by the VRAM.

The Lenovo's GPU might be a bit faster, it also has the cool Nvidia AI stuff, and it can hold more SSDs and RAM.

But if I want solid 60 fps gaming on 1080p with FSR, which would I get?
Thanks,

the Asus rog flow is the better of the two https://versus.com/en/asus-rog-flow-z13-2025-gz302-13-4-amd-ryzen-ai-max-plus-395-3-0ghz-128gb-ram-1tb-ssd-vs-lenovo-loq-15arp9-15-6-amd-ryzen-7-7435hs-3-1ghz-nvidia-geforce-rtx-4070-laptop-24gb-ram-1tb-ssd

I’ve used the ROG Flow Z13. If you’re comfortable with a 13-inch detachable tablet, it’s mostly awesome. The performance is great for modern games (1080p won’t be an issue), and it’s one of the few Windows PCs with unified RAM.

The catch is that it’s noisy in performance mode (but not too slow in its quieter mode), and that battery life won’t be great. But it really is a Surface Pro for gamers.

If you want a bigger screen or just prefer a more conventional design, that LOQ will be the better option.

The noise, design, and screen size won't be an issue for me; I'm looking mostly for performance in both gaming and non-gaming workloads.

I’d lean toward the Flow Z13 then. The unified memory alone gives it an edge, and of course it’s using a newer chip architecture. The GPU is in the RTX 4070 ballpark as it is.

And I'm sure the build quality will be way better.
