Pc sometimes doesn't boot without reset

My pc sometimes won't boot, after a few resets it'll boot.  If I unplug the pc and switch off, and leave it unplugged for a couple days it boots no problem.
What could it be?

does your motherboard have diagnostic lights? if it does what ones light up when it fails to boot/post?

Next time I have the issue I'll post, I remember used to get ram/cpu light.  I did a memtest no errors, ram is set properly.  I upgraded the ram from 16 to 32.  That was when I started having issues.

how did your upgrade? two more stick of the 16gb ram you had or a new 32gb kit?

New 32gb sticks 16x2

do you still have the issues if you put your old ram back in or try one of the new sticks at a time?

Yes, I set bios to default too, before switching.

you can make sure all the power wires are fully seated just incase you bumped one when you put the ram in, and you could try reseating the cpu.

I went through everything,I notice sometimes the keyboard will flash for a bit, not on off.

what psu do you have? do you have access to a different psu you can test to see if your pc will boot consistently?
