Hello everyone,

I'm having an issue with one of the USB.

It appears to be corrupt and prompts to format the USB before using it.

There are important files in it and I tried recovering the file before formatting it, and that didn't work out too well.

I decided that maybe after I formatted the USB, I might be able to recover some of the files that was erased; however, I can't seem to format the USB.

I tried the following:

1. Right clicking and do a quick and non quick format -- no progress

2. formatting through disk management -- no progress, couldn't even delete volume.

3. using 3rd party programs to delete the partition -- no progress.

What I noticed is that when I try to format the USB, it seems that the Capacity is wrong. It only shows 8.00 MB and I'm not sure if this might be the problem.

Can someone help? I'm trying to do this for my sister as the USB have quite important files for school.

Also, I'm not sure if I'm posting this under the right section. :/

Thanks for your effort guys...

It didn't really work. I think if I were to use that usb again, it would require erasing the flash chip. At that point, I don't think any of the files would be recoverable.
