PCIE to M.2 adapter problem

Im having issues with my adapter I just got because my pc will not recognice the adapter. It does light up so it isnt broken. How can I fix this? Any ideas? Thank you in advance!

 

My setup + Specs:

 

PCIe adapter for NVMe M.2 SSD by AXAGON

Samsung 990 Pro NVMe M.2 SSD 2tb

 

Processor AMD Ryzen 9 5700X 

Motherboard MSI MPG B550 Gaming Edge WIFI

MSI Gaming trio RTX 3080

 

The motherboards both m.2 slots are already taken. 

 

Should I put my other m.2 to the adapters sata slot and run it through that? Im out of ideas what would help.

Hey, I think I figured it out. My motherboard has been built in a way that if you plugin a secon m.2 in your motherboards M.2_2 slot it will automatically stop supporting your PCIe_E3 slot. Thats why it wasnt working.
