Hello,

I read this post about Lossless Scaling and uaing a second GPU: https://www.reddit.com/r/losslessscaling/s/7Oitcgc6iy

I have an older system from 2017 with the following specs:

  • Intel Core i7 8700k
  • msi gtx 1080 gaming x oc 8gb
  • Corsair RM850 psu

I was wondering if buying a second gpu and using it for the sole purpose of frame generation would be worth it. I can get another second hand GTX 1080.

Would the cpu bottleneck the added performance?

Thank you

linus has a video i think talking about it, not sure  but i think it was on main ltt chanel

building a pc is like choosing a wife, you can build something ugly on the outside but beautiful inside, or you can have something beautiful from outside with no brain, if you be lucky you can build a pc with amazing look inside and out if you have the money, and if you have crappy luck with no money you can end up with an ugly slow pc, so it seems it all comes to what you worth for yourself to spend on what you want to spend time with, if you are confused dont worry i am confused too
