What cooler could I use that is not overkill for a 65W AMD Ryzen such as 9600X that does not come with one?

I was thinking about ARCTIC FREEZER 36 for about the same price, but wouldn't this still be overkill?

probably overkill but it just means that you dont need to upgrade your cooler for the forseeable future and quieter operation ontop of that

 

oh and get the phantom spirit, freezer 36 is just worse outright in terms of performance

Thermalright Assassin X 120 Refined SE 66.17 CFM CPU Cooler or  Thermalright Assassin X 120 Refined SE are both good choices

I don't shop from Amazon and I can't find Thermalright elsewhere.

They all kinda suck tbh especially the ancient cooler master

 

Maybe the frozn a620 or ag620?

Are you talking about DEEPCOOL AG620? I can't find ID-COOLING FROZN A620.

The COOLER MASTER HYPER 411 NANO ARGB will work perfectly fine, being able to cool up to 180W. The Silverstone should work too. Realistically, any aftermarket cooler should be able to cool 65W.

yes but if you cant find any of thesei guess whatever cheap 15-20$ 4 heatpipe like the se 214 xt will suffice aswell just that youll probably have to upgrade it if you go for a more power hungry cpu in the future and itll also run a tad louder

It should be liquid nitrogen/ immersion cooling, or at least custom water cooling.

 

Jokes aside, If you want the best cooling while not delving into extreme stuffs, 360 / 420 AIO that has thicker radiator & fans than standard.
Overkill for your CPU? Very.

 

For comparison, I once used an old Hyper 212 for 5900x for heavy gaming.

I've long changed it to a 280mm AIO because it was noisy AF, the CPU still works fine today.

They just want your money. 65W, even 105W can be cooled fine by an air cooler.

Out of all of those, maybe the arctic. But in my eyes all of those coolers listed are junk. Why cant you buy it from Amazon?
