Gpu upgrade

I'm thinking to upgrade my r9 270x to something new.I'm between r9 290 and gtx 780.I have a fx 6300 will a face any bottleneck or i should stay with him.And lastly is the upgrade worth it or should i wait for new gpus to come out???Thanks for your time

I would wait for the new ones to come out, then get a 780ti because the price will drop.
