Hi guys my brother built a PC for me back in 2020 on the AM4 platform with a 5600x and 16GB DDR4 I upgraded from a r9 280 to an Intel arc A770 in 2023 but the PSU my brother had put in my build was 11 years old from his old AMD kaveri build it's a CX600M. Come to find out it wasn't providing the GPU with the correct voltage it needed from the 12v rail my GPU voltage from my GPU was only 0.85 volts under load with my GPU temp sitting at 89c to 90c even though the case and GPU were cleaned for dust. I'm thinking the PSU damaged the GPUs VRMs or it could have been just the PSU not providing enough voltage off of the 12v rail. I'm thinking about an Intel arc B580 since Intel is gonna give me a refund for my GPU since it's having issues they're refunding me the full MSRP of the GPU. Any help and advice is much appreciated.

Make sure that the power cables are properly connected to both the PSU and GPU 😃

How did you determine it was getting that little voltage. If it was that far off from 12v the card wouldn't run.

Either way I would say it's time for a new power supply.
