@Grady_Smith

you should have kept all this in one thread, I think you have 3-4 going about this build.

Update all the threads and let people know you have come to a final decision as you indicated in one of those.

Here is my final decision, I am closing all the threads: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/GradySmith/saved/kkJKcf

What about the rest of the PC? Budget?

Future plans for PC? Platform decision?

Here is my current PC plan and a budget of 1600 dollars.

Intel:

AMD:

Your Intel list is private.

To me, the 9900X isn't worth the premium over the 7900X. In most cases, the difference in performance is minimal - unless your workload can leverage AVX512, in which case, go with the 9900X all day, but that doesn't sound like your workload.

The 360mm AIO is probably overkill, especially if you intend to run the 9900X at stock power limits, but for that price, I can't really fault the choice.

You could save a bit on the motherboard, but if this one has the features you want, it's not a bad choice.

Even if you went with the 7900X, swapped to a dual-tower cooler, and went with a cheaper board, you would only save about $100, so I don't know that I would fret over it. That looks like a decent build to me.

For me a 9900x would do. Especially its not a 300w+ and has no permanent damage issue such as intel 13th gen and up

Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE | 6X Thermalright TL-C12C Fans | Cooler Master TD300 Mesh Case | Gigabyte GP-P650G 650W 80+ GOLD Certified Active PFC  | Lexar NM710 M.2 1TB NVMe SSD Gen 4 | Kingston NV3 1TB NVMe SSD Gen 4 | KOORUI G2411P 24" 1080p Gaming Monitor, 200Hz Refresh Rate, IPS Panel | Razer Blackwidow Chroma V3 Tenkeyless, Razer Deathadder Essential, Razer Blackshark V2 X

I would for sure take the 9900X over the 7900X.

didn't mean to sound like an ass, but it helps folks to help you if it's all in one place.
