Remember the old thread about Yamaha AG03? No? Ok 😄

I bought a M-audio M-Game DUAL Audio device, and configured it as listed on website.

Audio pops/stutter and crackle. Not everytime....

Hardware config is:

  • AMD Ryzen 5 4500 6-Core Processor @ 3.8 Ghz

  • Mobo: Gigabyte B550M K

  • RAM: DDR4 16 GB 3400mt/s

  • GPU: Gainward Ghost RTX 3060

Last Windows 11 pro version.

I tried with AISO4ALL driver raising or reducing buffer size, nothing changed... I'm about to try with voicemeeter banana.

I'm thinking about 2 faulty items in my config: CPU and GPU, maybe somehting related to PCI-E bus?

I disabled Cool & Quiet and any energy saving function in BIOS and in Device Manager.

PS You can hear crack and stutter in my guest's audio in first seconds of this clip https://www.twitch.tv/trezerodue/clip/GoldenFlaccidPuppyArgieB8-cbXvTFnMgvArgX0Q

can you move the cable routes temporarily so they avoid the power and other cable. masking tape handy for this sort of thing as it come off easy when you dont need it any more.

Clever buggers will be along later to help until then ya stuck with me 🙂

Me and a friend both had this issue for years. Nothing worked, even swapping hardware and reinstalling drivers/Windows. Nobody online had any fixes that worked. One day though, my friend decided to update his bios for an unrelated reason, and it ended up fixing his crackling issue. So I tried it as well and it worked for me too! Both of us had AMD Ryzen systems so maybe this could fix your problem too!

Sounded an option to me too, so I just tried with longer cable, shorter cable and nothing changed.... 😞 I changed headphones too

I'll check for BIOS update, worth a try!

Does the issue persist when not using ASIO4ALL?
ASIO4ALL shouldn't be used unless you're using software that can ONLY output via ASIO. If you're just using the device for normal OS audio, or playback from pretty much any DAW or player/streaming service just have the software output directly to the DAC. No point going through ASIO4ALL
