Can't get PC to Boot

Go to solution Solved by Apemanonline,

the fancy white cables are they part of the psu or extensions? If so try removing the extension you may have a faulty one.

Failing that its borrow a psu tester of a friend or a known working psu and try that or say screw it and rma the dam thing.

Out of ideas.

Hello, first time PC builder here. I was confident everything was going well with the build. Upon booting it for the first time the RAM lit up, but the fans were spinning for a second then stopped, after trying to reboot, I no longer got the RAM to light up or any fans to spin, all I get when switching on the ON switch on the PSU is:

Blue light shows up on the Motherboard for a second, after that a green light for a split second, after that the PC doesn't boot when pressing the boot button.

The motherboard is: B650 Aorus Elite X AX Ice

Heres what I've done so far

- Reseated the CPU and the Cooler

- Reseated RAM, tried only one stick in different slots too

- Replugged the 24-Pin and the 8-pin cable as well as all of the PSU cables

-Re checked if every cable is sitting firmly, including the front panel

- Removed the GPU to troubleshoot

- Restarted CMOS

I'm attaching a video of the Motherboard lights after switching the switch ON, also an image of all the cables in the motherboard. if you need any additional information, let me know.

The footage is from when the GPU was taken off thats why its missing.

if you have any idea what it could be, it would mean alot.

What CPU are you using?

Yeah the CPU power cables are top left, they have a label so I'm sure of that.

On the bottom I have HD audio, ARGB, USB 2, a fan header and Front Panel connected, the F panel is a block type not the individual pins

First look behind the mobo for any extra standoffs. The bits you screwed the motherboard to you have X number off holes you want same number of standoffs in the correct place other wise your shorting your motherboard out to the case. If back of case tray is visible look for the standoff screws count etc....

I would unplug the lot use a screw driver to start the pc shorting out the power button. Just in case the header faulty.

Checked for the standoffs, the case is h6 flow and has pre installed them, and the motherboard is atx format so it fit well without anything under it. Also just tried the screwdriver method, its still not booting on, I assume theres a Motherboard or PSU faulty.

The cables came with the PSU.

Thanks for the help either way, Its good to have the information that I didn't make any obvious mistakes either, I will get someone to test both the PSU and the Motherboard and RMA it if it proves to be dead
