Microphone Not Working

The removable microphone on my tritton pro + headset isn't working

Can anyone think of why it might not be working

If I can't fix it, can anyone find a good microphone for under £20 for a temporary replacement

There is a zalman clip on mic that is good enough as a temporary replacement and I found this with better review.

but another option I would recommend that is cheap are the Microsoft LX3000 wear it round your neck its a pretty darn good microphone/headset for the price.
