So I've been sitting in an $89 knock off racer gaming chair for almost 10 years at this point. It's got 1inch of the cheapest foam on the seat, hard plastic arm rests and 0 features.

What I'm looking for is a chair that's comfortable to sit in for long streaming sessions. I would prefer a leg rest, recline and moveable arm rests. I like to play guitar and right now I switch to a chair that has no arms to do so.

I'm in the US and my upper limit is $500 but I'm not firm on that. I would like to spend a lot less, but I'm willing to invest in something less glamorous because I use it 6+ hours a day.

Also don't worry, I have a standing desk I stand sometimes too.

Thanks!

Look at office chairs, be it Herman Miller or Steelcase yes they are expenaive but great. Those are at least high quality ones I can think of. Now I doubt any have leg rest that pops out, same for removable arm rests, maybe some may have option. I also play guitar and had same question but I may pick that drummer style chair heh.

Also you may also search used ones of these locally, I've heard people tend to find them fairly new for quite a bit cheaper when some companies are getting rid of them.

If you have wholesale stores near you like Sam's Club, Costco, BJ's, & etc. They typically do reasonably priced office chairs with sufficient cushion padding and should be less than $300. You could also ask around if someone (friend or family) already has an existing account that gets free shipping with their wholesale store.

My go-to for 10+ years of actual cushioned seating is:

For starters, I would look at some of the higher-end racing chairs from GT Player or GT Racing, those often have leg rests and recline features, not sure about the moveable armrests though.

If you are going for ergonomics, the Razer Fujin is a great choice with all mesh padding, although it is over budget, about $600 USD on the Razer website, though I'm sure you could find it cheaper elsewhere. Razer also has other chairs with decent lumbar support, but most chairs from Razer do not have leg rests.

Here are specific links to some I would recommend:

GT Racing Ergo12: https://gtracing.com/products/ergonomic-series-ergo12

Razer Fujin: https://www.razer.com/gaming-chairs/Razer-Fujin/RZ38-04950100-R3U1

Razer Iskur V2 X: https://www.razer.com/gaming-chairs/Razer-Iskur-V2/RZ38-05310100-R3UA

- Please note that I haven't tried any of these in person, this is based off of video and written reviews.
