Cursor selector in Google Docs

Issue:

Cursor selector in Google docs turns white when over document,  it returns to black in rest of page

 

Steps taken already to resolve:

-Dark mode disabled in browser (google just inverts black and white, the WORST possible way to implement dark mode(

-Dark mode disabled in Windows

-browser close and reopened 

-system reboot
