i m looking for a pure sine UPS, but i don t know what brands would be good quality.

i was looking at cyberpower CP900EPFCLCD.

it ll be used to make sure the computer doesn t turn off in case of brownouts (when i loose power for few seconds), so i don t need it to be able to run for more than few minutes, cuz if the electricity goes down for extended periods, i will just shut down the computer.

The psu of the computer is a Corsair rm750E (750W 80+ gold).

i m located in europe and i run on 230V 50hz

The UPS you have selected can supply up to 540W, will that be sufficient? If you attempt to draw over that, these units tend to get unhappy and throw errors/beep at you. Not talking about while the power is out, just during normal usage. That being said i'm a fan of those Cyberpower units. I have the 1500VA/1000W unit in the same line and its been fantastic.

I have about a dozen Cyberpower 1500AVRLCD's of various flavors and they are fantastic. The nice thing about getting the 1500VA ones is that they are usually only slightly more spendy than the lower power ones and they have more juice to run longer for power outages.

Why does it need to be a true (pure) sine wave? Desktop PSUs aren't that sensitive.

 

900VA is about 500W to 600W depending on the manufacturer. I always recommend obtaining a UPS that satisfies the PSU + monitor needs.

Although I have nothing against measuring the PC's power draw under heavy load and using that as a reference, I like to leave some headroom for upgrades or additional hardware.

 

Cyberpower is good. APC also. Eaton too.

As for the budget brands, I have good experiences with C-Lion (Centralion).
