Hello,

I've recently put together my liquid-cooled system, and I'm slightly concerned with my CPU temperatures, although not as concerned as I was prior to reading a lot of threads on the X3D CPUs.
For those who own a 5700X3D or similar, what does your cooling and temperature situation look like? Is my situation in the normal range? See data below.

Why are you so concerned?

84.5c is pretty decent during a full stress test like OCCT.. Its an unrealistic amount of load.

How often would you run a 100% load like this?

Does it matter if the CPU is at 84c over 82c or 79c?  You still get full performance out of it without risking any damage.

Temps look good. Stop worrying and start playing video games.

Yes, I completely agree with you to some extent. The temperatures are all fine, nothing is overheating. I'm just not used to seeing these high temperatures. My previous 3900X pulls higher wattage than this and ends up being much cooler with a 240 AIO, which is why my alarm bells went off seeing this. This is before I read the numerous other posts on X3D CPU's running hot by design.

I think it's perfectly reasonable to be on the lookout for unusual temperatures and behaviour when assembling a new system, especially when it's the first time putting together a custom liquid-cooled setup. I'm inherently expecting lower temps than normal due to the magnitude of my cooling capacity.

If your CPU ran hot at 85C, and you read about other people getting 75C with a staggeringly worse cooling setup, wouldn't you be somewhat concerned?

For the record, OCCT is not an unrealistic load, it just isn't a gaming load.

Agreed, and even if it was, the load scenario doesn't really matter. I'm only looking at my temperatures relative to what I'm seeing others to determine if my cooling setup is performing as it should. The reason I'm running OCCT is because it's easier to evaluate the results. A poorly performing cooling setup will show a bigger deviance at higher temps.
