Devil's Canyon vs Haswell Refresh

Go to solution Solved by Accursed Entity,

Devil's Canyon is just a code name for an unlocked Haswell refresh CPU.

Ok, so I plan on upgrading to the x99 chipset when it comes out, but for knowledge's sake, What is the difference between Devil's Canyon and the Haswell Refresh?  All I know is that supposively Devil's Canyon will be targeted for gamers.  I think it's very interesting how intel all in 1 year is coming out with 3 lines of processors on the same chipset(Devil's, Haswell Refresh, Broadwell) plus the Haswell-E platform I plan on upgrading to.

CPU: Intel Core i7 3770k Ivy Bridge Processor Motherboard: Asus Maximus V Extreme RAM: 16gb Corsair Dominator Platinum GPU: EVGA GTX 770 2GB Case: Corsair 900D Storage: 4TB Seagate HDD & 128GB Samsung Pro SSD PSU: Corsair 850w Display(s): Asus PB278q(2k)& Asus VG248qe Cooling: Corsair H60 on Intel Processor Keyboard: Razer BlackWidow Ultimate 2013 Mouse: Razer Naga Epic/Corsair k90 Sound: Asus Essence STX(Not currently working)

No there is a difference.  At least according to Linus and the Intel representative I saw in a video at a presentation about it.
