Hey everyone, So From july to December I'll be getting some extra cash, Cash I will be putting to my own custom PC.

My first PC is this PC and I have upgraded some since I got it.

Please note it is an HP ENVY H8-1534, the Case, PSU, and motherboard are not correct but close enough in the PCpart picker link.

Current PC: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/SaikaDarkmoon/saved/dwqhP6

I am curious to what You may think I should upgrade, I want a PSU that can handle a 780 Ti and an i7 with 16GBs of ram.

I DO NOT overclock so keep this noted as when you tell me to get an i5 K version its wasted money.

Unless someone says different and please do I want constructive criticism as linus says, These are my planned upgrades for July.

600 is enough? down the line I plan to have 32GBs of ram, an i7, 780 Ti, 1 HDD, 1 Hybrid, and 1 SSD boot, 1 all-in-one blu-ray player, and Hopefuly some Blu Bitfinix alchemy LEDs

yeah. You could go save and take 650w.

The important part is taking a good psu with at least 80+ bronce certification.

First upgrading to 16GB RAM will provide no performance benefit at all. Also why would you want to upgrade your motherboard to an AM3+ if you want to upgrade to an i7? You will need a motherboard with an intel chipset and intel socket and upgrade the CPU at the same time. If I were you I would just get the case as I'm guessing you want your PC to look good and then save up for more serious upgrades in the following order:

1. GTX 780 TI and Power Supply (superNOVA in your partpicker list is alright)

2. i7 4770 or 4790 + a motherboard with H81/H87 or other haswell chipsets

3. 16GB or RAM

Lol the AM3+ is what i was going with until someone convinced me to go intel, But yes my goal is to get an Asus Mobo, PSU, and case. GPU is easily upgraded, CPU / mobo maybe and the RAM is not important hardly I know but I do alot of video editing and it helps to have that extra Gig or 2 while running 30 chrome tabs. :P

How does your current build do now? I personally wouldn't upgrade that since it should play most games on ultra with good fps.

I run my own indie game company called Color Dragon Studios where we are currently making a 2d platformer game called Small Earth.

Actually I can't play most games at ultra 1080p with 30fps. I can play high at 1050p and get a stable 30 for watchdogs and disable AA with high textures, but I really want that true 1080p ULTRA experience that i work for with PCs or else why bother? why not just console game. The whole point in PCs is better graphics and frame rates.

Ya i see what you are saying and from benchmarks i have seen i figured it would have been more than that. That's kind of unfortunate for me though, i'm getting an fx 6300 and most likely r9 270.

Fair enough although upgrading to that ASUS motherboard provides you with absolutely no benefits unless you really need one of the tiny details that ASUS one has and GIGABYTE one doesn't. Also I wouldn't upgrade the CPU until you get a 780 TI or other GPU upgrade as you don't need it right now and it doesn't provide any benefits either.

The Asus Motherbored is something I have wanted more than anything actually, the UEFI instead of gigabytes 1990s bios... It works yes but I would love something just plain nicer then that and it's not like its a supper expensive 300$ bored like the higher end Z87's

And I was planing to keep the CPU as the CPU makes a minor dif in gaming.

HDD mass storage, SSD for main programs, bootdrive,  and Hybrid for games. better load times without the short life and degradation of your SSD, which for me, is only 120GBs

Use the money for another SSD to keep frequently played games. SSD's are more reliable and as opposed to hard drives, reading from an SSD does practically zero to none damage.

SSHD will use a cache, the software will have a hard time caching files for games that you don't frequently play, which would be better off on an SSD.

The purpose of those drivers are to be in budget systems or ones with a premium on space to function as an HDD+SSD system cache. Not a very good type of drive to keep games on.

Error: 410

As a lover of slient PCs let me give you a small upgrade recommendation: A 120mm Noiseblocker BlackSilent Pro PLPS works great on slim Cooler Master heatsinks like the Hyper 212 EVO. They make it much more Silent and in my experience even increase cooling performance :P

ASUS ROG Strix B550-F + AMD Ryzen 5800X3D; ASUS 6800XT TUF; 16GB G.Skill TridentZ 3600; bequiet! Dark Power 13 850W; Samsung 860 Pro M.2 2TB; PHANTEKS Evolve X

I use headphones so the silent PC thing makes no sense to me personally.
