Oh, im so sorry! Haha, please ignore my stupidity. Please set the windows maximum performance setting in the windows graphics settings. You will need to restart after then it will work.

This didn't work but I did do some digging around in the device manager and my GPU was just straight up disabled. Anybody have any idea on how that happened? I did have to power cycle the PC prior to this problem but I don't know why it would just disable itself. Thanks to all who messaged btw!!

Hello, recently I built a low-end gaming computer to run some low end games. One day I turned on the computer and booted up the long drive and noticed that the game was running extremely rough. When I checked the task manager I noticed that the GPU was not appearing. Tried restarting and checking drivers for all components and found nothing. Tried taking the GPU out and put it in different slots, different power and video cables and nothing works. Please help, it worked just fine before!

Computer specs:

-XFX Radeon RX 580 8gb

-i7 7700 (I think 7th gen)

-Thermaltake 750w power supply

-Sandisk 250gb m.2 ssd

-32gb of crucial ram

-An Asus Motherboard, unsure of exact type, will update once I get off work

Thanks,

Sorry, I should have clarified this. Yes, 100% sure, i'm plugged into the gpu but for some reason the motherboard is sending the integrated graphics through the gpu just like a passthrough.

Weird. Go into NVIDIA Control Panel and set the preffered gpu to the RX 580. Also windows graphics settings choose maximum performance.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 9950x3D | Motherboard: ASUS ROG Strix X870| RAM: Kingston Fury 128GB 6000Mhz | GPU: ASUS RTX 5090 | Case: Hyte Y60 | PSU: Corsair 1200W | NVME: 2x WD Black 5TB + 3TB | CPU Cooler: Thermalright Frozen Notte 360mm AIO | Casefans: Thermalright TC 120mm Fans x3 + AIO | OS: Windows 11 Pro 64 Bit

The GPU is a AMD card not NVIDIA. Is there a AMD equivalent other than the AMD adrenalin software?
