CPU not running as it should.

Go to solution Solved by Sawa Takahashi,

Maybe a driver problem. You may need to reinstall Windows to fix it.

As a test, you can run a Linux USB live stick and check the task manager to see how many cores are displayed.

Good luck !

I have a Ryzen 5-7600X, 6 Core 12 Threads. It's always ran all 6 cores for as long as I can remember but earlier I was wanting to check the max TDP of my processor. In doing so I seen that CPU-Z was showing that my CPU only had or was running only 4 cores and 8 threads. I decided to open Ryzen master and look and core 5 and 6 was asleep, though it was cause there wasn't really any load on the CPU so I ran Cinebench. I kept Ryzen master open while running Cinebench and the cores stayed asleep, I also noticed that Cinebench reported that my CPU was only 4 core 8 thread, so I looked at it in task manager and it says the same. Everything I look at says my 6 core 12 thread CPU is only running at 4 core 8 thread.

How do I fix it?

Thank you, I didn't know windows could turn them off nor what it or I did to turn them off. It showed them all working on the Linux USB stick and a re-install of windows fixed it.
