EA Games not saving with moved Documents folder

I have a somewhat unique setup, in that my documents drive is located on a network drive. There are many reasons for this that are out of scope for this-but I don’t want to change it. 
 

my EA games (Dead Space, Dragon Age Veilguard) refuse to save or even work sometimes, and I’m seeing that it’s likely due to this fact. I’m not sure if it has to do with permissions or something, but no other games have this issue. Has anyone solved this?

Its most likely due to how they are coded. They are looking for absolute path and can't deal with relative. So, either symbolic links (should work fine in this scenario, I used them back in 120gb SSD days). Or set automatic backup to mirror folders between local and network drive.
