Been 1 hour, no crash no difference in temps and still 0 artifacts.

Alright then shift attention. Unstable RAM can also causes GPU driver crashes in my experience. Youve tried to disable XMP/EXPO/DOCP before to stim the issue?

Hi

Built my new PC around 5 months and starting around 2 months ago various games and apps have spontaneously been closing. I've done a fresh install of windows, used DDU to uninstall and reinstall drivers including the first drivers I used where I had no crashing, and undervolted my GPU and nothing has seemed to fix it. The only games to crash with any sort of error code were GTA V and Minecraft. The GTA error code was ERR_GFX_STATE and the Minecraft error code was -1073740791. I have had discord close with no game or any GPU intensive thing running so I doubt its a temperature thing but I never used an outright reading and my case is a Lian Li O11 with 7 fans so I doubted it was temperature related in the first place. It is my first build so maybe my fans are put on weird? But then again it ran everything fine for 3 months. GPU is a 4070 Super Ti.

Meaning others don't post error codes or it's only happening in these two games?

Press Win+S->Event Viewer. On the left, under Custom Views open Administrative Events and see if there are any errors.

This was here around the time GTA V crashed

The program GTA5_Enhanced.exe version 1.0.812.8 stopped interacting with Windows and was closed. To see if more information about the problem is available, check the problem history in the Security and Maintenance control panel.

I also saw this a couple times in a row but it mightve been for the crash before the one above? I knew the time of the one above and its the time GTA crashed but this might be useful idk

The description for Event ID 13 from source nvlddmkm cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.

If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.

The following information was included with the event:

\Device\000000c9
Graphics Exception: SKEDCHECK06_REGISTER_COUNT failed

The message resource is present but the message was not found in the message table

Download Furmark and run Artifact Scanner. Does it crash and what are the temps?

Ran for 10 minutes, didnt crash and had 0 artifacts. Games crash at like 10 - 20 minutes most of the time but I've gone an hour without crashing so I'll keep it running.
Highest hotspot reached was 84, GPU and VRAM temp hovered around 65 - 70.

Turned off EXPO in bios and played GTA V for an hour so far and no crashes! Assuming I have a damaged RAM stick then? I'll keep this open for another day incase I crash again. If no crashing I'll find out which one is damaged and return it. Thanks!
