Logitech G502 Lightspeed power issues

Go to solution Solved by GuiltySpark_,

Ditch GHub entirely and just use Logitechs OMM or Onboard Memory Manager software to make hardware changes to the mouse.

For a while now I seem to have an issue with this mouse. If my PC goes to sleep or hibernate then everything is fine, the mouse turns off its silly RGB after a few mins and wakes up when I move it. This way the battery lasts ages. However, if I turn off the PC then the RGB stays on, so by morning the battery is flat in the mouse. There are not many settings in g Hub that change the lighting, so I am sure it is not that. I know I can manually switch off the mouse but that seems odd to do when sleep works and the keyboard, also a logitech wireless one, turns off correctly with the PC.

GHub is useful, but it took me too long to figure out how to use it to change onboard memory profiles. I will link a video that will explain it.

The process to change the lighting will be similar, despite having a slightly different mouse. I have the G502 HERO, and this video did a good job explaining.

OMM did the trick. Seems very odd that G-Hub had that effect but OMM didn’t. Thanks for pointing me to that tool, I didn’t know it existed.

No worries, its the best tool for managing Logitech G products, IMO. Small little EXE, doesn't need to install or run in the background. Just works.
