9800x3d

since the 9950x3d couldnt even  beat the 9800x3d, are we ever going to get a x3d chip that can beat the 9800 by atleast 10-15% across the board?

seems like this is the de facto chip for the next 5 years and amd doesn't seem  interested in  beating their own chip nor does intel.

Well since you rarely need more than 8 cores, there's really no need in making 12+ version chips faster, and they can actually be faster, 7950x3D can in some areas be faster than 7800x3D, is just the matter in how you set up the CPU and PC, how much are you willing to change and occasionally sacrifice for this performance.

 

Not to mention you don't need 7950x3D to beat 7800x3D to still be solid choice for people that want both 16 cores and fast gaming CPU.

the 10800x3d is rumored to have 12 cores.

You need to educate yourself on how AMD's chips actually are built and how the work.
