Hi, I desperately need a gpu as I currently have a 7800x3d with integrated. One of my friends has a 2070 that I can buy for $130 no box is that a good deal or should I negotiate lower or just go for something else. In the future I will resell it and get a better one once the shortage is over though

Cheapest brand new card for 2070 performance is 330$, so I'd say it's pretty decent deal, considering the card works, quite weak for 7800x3D build, but still good enough if you're not Mr. Moneybags.

@Fireord36 My old GPU was an EVGA RTX 2070. About $130 is what I'd sell mine for used, to be honest. So, having a friend sell his used card to you at that price is pretty fair. I've seen 2070's offered for about that price on eBay. The benefit of your friend selling the card, is you know the person and can hopefully get a chance to see the card running in a system. That said. The card is getting older, and even if it was in good condition... things like the Thermal Interface material over the die may be degrading and need to be repasted... So check how hot it runs in a system. Mine had a creeping up Temp due to it's age. Mine's probably due for a repaste of the GPU die.

I got my EVGA RTX 3070 XC3 Ultra 8GB off Newegg (Refurbished) for $699 CAD... and I'm using a payment plan to pay it off. That may be a budget friendly option for you.

$130 is a fair offer Good Luck

Yeah I know how to fix up computer parts if it needs more thermal paste but its only about 4 years old if not even.
