I've made several posts over the past couple of months about a new PC build and with yall's help, I was recommended the Gigabyte WINDFORCE OC GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER 12 GB Video Card. However with the recent stock outage as well as increase in price, and finally with the drop of the 50 series Im curious if I should continue waiting or if yall have ideas for alternatives.

I have purchased all of the parts except for the case, additional fans, and the video card itself.

Do you care about raytracing and or want to get into programs like Adobe suite and blender? You are SoL and borderline need nvidia cards

Do you want to just game? Try to find a 9070xt at around 700$ max, ideally near 600$ or a used 7900xt which should be around there in price as well

The 50 series is drop fed to us and wont see normalised prices for months and it barely is any better than the 40 series

I edit my posts for so if you saw a typo.... no you didn't, you are just crazy

Here's a board and gpu that both support PCIe 5.0 along with a SSD w/DRAM cache. This build is ideal for gaming at 1440P. If you require more storage then add a cheap 2.5" SATA SSD such as the Teamgroup Vulcan Z.

Lowkey ngl, I dont know what SoL means but for the most part I am just looking to game, but I do use my computer to edit in premiere and Photoshop decently regularly. As for raytracing I'm not really sure, as I like the idea but can't remember the last time I played a game where raytracing was "needed" but as more games add it and I want this build to last for many years.

I appreciate the help but I already purchased a majority of my parts from the listed pc part picker link.

Shit out of Luck. Because the GPU market is a mess right now, well it's been a mess for the last few years.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

Somehow I missed your previous threads or you would have had a better build for less.

SoL = Sh#t outta Luck ie Sh#t outta Luck

My honest is either move way from photoshop as Adobe is the devil incarnate and should be wiped off the face of the earth for their shitty practices and policies and search for alternatives like Davinci resolve Gimp Krita etc etc which will allow you to use other cards without issues and let you utilise your budget better

If you wish to stick with adobe then as @Why_Me suggested in his list a 5070 ti over a 4070 super is a no brainer

I edit my posts for so if you saw a typo.... no you didn't, you are just crazy
