If the mouse is laser then yes it will have acceleration. You want to find an optical mouse for the best performance.

also that mouse is bloody expensive for what it is. I have tried and used many mice over the years and I can vouch for the Razer Deathadder 2013. Best Optical sensor around I say.

Except that it's not. G502 has the best optical sensor on the market. People incorrectly assume it's laser, but it's Infrared Optical.

It's just a shame they made it look even more juvenile than Razer's stuff. I do hope Logitech don't drop dignified designs from their gaming line all together...

No, the sensor in the DA 2K13 is not even close to the best optical sensor around. The G502's sensor beats it by a mile, so does the 3310 sensors used in the Mionix 7000 mice and the Steelseries Rival.

Does anyone know if the Logitech Performance MX has acceleration issues because I am thinking about getting one to make my setup a bit cleaner. I plan on using this mouse for gaming so I would like to know if there were any acceleration issues.

Thanks!

Acceleration is not that big of a deal. One of the best CS gamers in the world uses a Steelseries Xai, which is know to have acceleration issues.

Yet that vast majority of people think the complete opposite. There is nothing "juvenile" about the G502.

Is there a way you can get rid of acceleration?

The only way is to buy a mouse with a sensor that doesn't have it. Some mice include: Steelseries Rival, Deathadder, Mionix Naos 7000 & Avior 7000. Steelseries Kana v2, Logitech G502. Pretty much anything with an optical sensor.

How do you know what the vast majority of people think? Did you poll them? Is there a site I'm unaware of?

The dude owns a Deathadder and said he wants a cleaner-looking setup. The G502 would be a move in the opposite direction on account of its design being even more elaborate, with needless glossy accents and dodgy angles throughout, hence "more juvenile than Razer". I'm not saying it looks like a baby toy, though I'm pretty sure I had a transforming stealth jet that bore a passing resemblence to it...
