Budget (including currency): 1600€

Country: Finland

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Mostly single player/non-comp games, witcher, valheim, indiana jones, 4k60hz possible?

Other details

Today I got a chance to buy a 5070ti from a retailer for 925€ (including taxes and shipping). I have been long dreaming of an upgrade, since my current rig has an i5-3570k and gtx 970. Would 9600x be a good cpu pair with it or s the budget limiting me too much? I would be able to increase it during summer, but would there be any sense to use the 5070ti with my current rig for a couple of months and upgrade the cpu when there's more budget (I could maybe go up to an x3d by then)? I feel the used market in my country is not very active, so I would rather not buy cheaper now and upgrade later. My current case is a mini-itx bitfenix prodigy. Should I consider upgrading it too, or would it be fine? Also, would it be possible to promote my old pc into a living room media device, and stream 4k games from the upgraded/new rig?

This board down below supports PCIe 5.0 as does that 5070 Ti. You can switch out the cpu to whatever you like. I would consider the 7800x3D.

if you will upgrade in the near future you should get cheap ryzen 7000 series now if the cost is lower.
just remember to select a mobo that is very good for your highest chances of future compatibility.
Otherwise, the 9600x is a good cpu itself if you wanted to use it for a couple years even.
