Hey all

I have been busy lately with school and stuff, finals are coming, what not... BUT, after the finals I will finally be buying my gaming rig. Here's the link to the shop (I live in Belgium, so excuse me that the language is Dutch but normally you should be able to understand most of it ;)http://azerty.nl/winkelmandje/winkelmandje/?legen=1&product%5b642741%5d=1&product%5b639582%5d=1&product%5b462660%5d=1&product%5b259587%5d=1&product%5b603764%5d=1&product%5b639493%5d=1&product%5b558962%5d=1&product%5b558961%5d=1&product%5b565143%5d=1&product%5b473538%5d=3&product%5b563541%5d=2&product%5b511409%5d=3&product%5b620105%5d=1&product%5b671148%5d=1

You will see that I'm going for a triple monitor setup, mostly used for gaming (so yeah I know the i5 would be good enough, but I'm going with the i7, no questions asked :D ), overclocking will be the case, budget of 2800 EUR max, 2 SSD's will be for OS and games (also, this won't change :) )

However, your opinions on it are always welcome! :)

I think you should change the case to something more premium, that case is PLASTIC. It's going to really scratch easily, and not as rigid as something like steel or aluminum.

Wanna hang out with me and people like @Theslsamg, @ Ssoele, @BENTHEREN, @Lanoi, @Whiskers, @_ASSASSIN_, @Looney, @WunderWuffle, and @nsyedhasan. Well.... Check out: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/48484-unofficial-linustechtips-teamschnitzel-server-teamspeak/

I thought it was metal? :o I must've changed it with the 630...

EDIT: just checked it, yup. that needs to be the 630 ;)

LOL, just my opinion but personally I would get the h440. It really looks good.

Lots of changes have to be made.

1) Get a r9 290/x. You will need more vRAM sooner than you know it.

2)  I recommend you get this (http://azerty.nl/0-4297-554019/asus-pb278q-led-monitor-27.html) 2560 x 1440p monitor, except if you love 3 monitors. IMO resolution > amount of monitors @ lower res.

3) If you can wait a week or 2, you can get the haswell refresh CPUs which will overclock MUCH better.

4) Don't get that power supply, you are wasting you money. A 650W should be plenty. Here is a better one: http://azerty.nl/0-1073-550166/seasonic-g-650-voeding-intern-atx12v-2-2-230-volt-wisselstroom-v-650-watt-80plus-gold.html

5) I suggest you get a crucial m500 480GB, it offers great value for money: http://azerty.nl/0-1990-613826/crucial-m500-solid-state-dri.html

6) Get a Z97 motherboard. Since you went for an ROG one, i chose the VII hero for you: http://azerty.nl/0-5602-688051/asus-maximus-vii-hero.html

7) You don't need a black series drive. Get a blue instead: http://azerty.nl/0-857-528532/wd-blue-wd10ezex-vaste-schijf-1-tb-intern-3-5-sata-600-7200-tpm-buffer-64-mb.html

8) Do you really need to play / write blu rays??? I'd just opt out and get an external dvd read / writer

9) along with the H440 case, the h440 is much better in terms of silence and internal layout than the 530 (and IMO also looks): http://azerty.nl/0-1044-672614/nzxt-h440.html

10) Don't get an AIO, its not worth it. Get a dark rock pro 3 instead, it is very quiet and performs within ±9 degrees of the h110: http://azerty.nl/0-976-669161/be-quiet-dark-rock-pro-3.html OR the NH-D15 / D14: http://azerty.nl/0-976-683612/noctua-nh-d15-koeler-voor-pr.html

ORRRR

Just check out my build which has a limit of 2800 euros:

Hope you read throught this :)

1) I prefer Nvidia :) I'm not a fanboy, I just like it more ;)

2) well the thing is, I am 100% sure that I'll be going to buy 2 monitors, it just SUPERhandy... and I would love to play in surround, but sometimes I'm still doubting 2 1440p monitors over 3 1080p monitors...

3) yeah, finals are over the 20th of June, so I am hoping to buy my rig in the end of June/begin July, so I hope the 4770K will come out with the 4Ghz

4) Thanks on that one! changed it! ;)

5) I'll compare them, thanks for the suggestion :P

6) I always liked the Formula, and since the Z97 version isn't yet released, I'm sticking with this one :)

7) Just a question: why Blue over Black?

8) I'm going to start having a Blu-Ray collection, so I would like to play them on my rig if possible, writing Blu-Ray's won't be the case I think at this moment...

9) case will be the 630, don't need it to be superquiet, and the H440 is so cubic to me, so no thank you :P

10) and I prefer the watercooling set because I don't want that big ass cooler in my window of my case :D don't really care about the 5 degrees more or less, yes I'll overclock it (maybe, I don't know, the 4Ghz will probably do just fine to begin with), but I won't be overclocking untill 2,5v ;)

Thanks for all the tips already! ;)
