Work Laptop Allowance

^{I get reimbursed up to 1500 for any laptop I purchase. We have no IT department, small company.} 

Primarily used for work hosting Teams meetings & marking up construction plans. 

^{I'd love to use it for gaming outside of the office.}  

^{Smaller than 17" as I travel a lot with this laptop.} 

^{It's always plugged into external monitors in the office.} 

 

^{Any recommendations you have would be greatly appreciated!}

Are you the one buying it or are you looking for suggestions to give to your job's IT department for them to buy you a laptop within that price range ?
Because the answer will very much depend on whether you are paying for it personally or if they are paying for it. If you're not paying for it, forget gaming on it, I wouldn't even trust it with a ten foot pole as far as personal information unrelated to work goes.
