Windows Screensaver When Gaming Issue

Hi guys, not sure if I've already asked this before but does anyone know how to stop the windows screen saver (Win11) from turning on when in a game?

 

Its driving both my girlfriend and myself crazy. She's playing Ghostwire Tokyo and I'm playing Cyberpunk and we are both finding the the screensaver kicks if a particularly long cutscene plays and we don't press a button on the controller or keyboard.

 

We both game on LG OLED TVs with HDR turned on so to reduce the chances of burn-in, I have set the screen savers to pretty aggressive levels on both sets.

 

This seems to be very game dependant as not all games allow for the saver to be triggered.

 

For my PC in the bedroom, its not a massive issue but my girlfriend tends to game on our living room PC which is plumbed though an AVR which is very temperamental with the PC input and frequently dropbs video if you even fart in the wrong direction. What tends to happen with her, is the screen saver activates but when she tries to go back to the game,  the damn screen goes blank and doesn't recover.

 

Any ideas?

Its because the games are not running in exclusive full screen, enable this if you have the option

 

But as you mentioned some games do not have this, and I haven't found a way to get around this

Thanks for the info.

 

Not at my PC at the mo to check but is there an option within the Nvidia Control Panel to force this 'globally'?

Not that I am aware of, but there may certainly be something in there
